Meet Emmy

 

Emerson Giselle Lopez McCann ("Emmy") has been LG's reliable, fuzzy assistant since 2006. Born in the Bronx, Emmy saw some tough times, but she was rescued by the North Shore Animal League of Long Island, and we couldn't be more thankful for them (visit them to adopt and/or consider donating to this amazing no-kill shelter)! It was love at first sight for both feline and writer.

 

Though Emmy tends to fall asleep on the job, can't make coffee, and doesn't speak English, she's a vital part of LG's support staff, primarily responsible for bug chasing, window staring, and lap warming.
